Fight The Cuts! (SFSU walkout/protest, 1 of 2)

Posted by rein on 4th February and posted in education

This documentary follows a march held to protest budget cuts in California education. It was organized by Student Unity Power and stomped from SF State to City College in San Francisco. Californian education is the epitome of economic imbalance: The richest state in the world’s richest nation has some of the nation’s most lax education funding. So, spread the word that no matter what the economic climate, a strong society requires good education.

@Rockynurse AGAIN, many of us actually do have jobs. Even so, no full-time minimum-wage job could cover the fees that are being protested. Luckily there often are: 1) student loans, 2) rich parents and, most pertinently 3) the freedom to f*%king protest!

damn monkeys throwing their shit around! =P Instead of whining they could be getting jobs to pay those additional fees.

I’m flattered you feel that way (about the film). And yes, look what we have to resort to!

This video is awesome. It really captures the excitement, anger and electricity that was in the air. California is decimating the entire public education system. Students have no other choice but to fight BACK!

students like these we dont need and would be better off if they went to work and started actually paying taxes. Most of these are just socialist liberals who will never get a job.
